1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data on prezentr.com is:
Slideograph d.o.o.
Registration No. (ID broj): 4203127420001
Alipašina 45, 71000 Sarajevo
Bosnia and Herzegovina
E-mail: [email protected]
We process personal data in line with the Law on Personal Data Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Zakon o zaštiti ličnih podataka) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect and why
Browsing and downloads
When you download a template we record which template, when, a one-way hash of your IP address, the country reported by our network provider, the referring page and, if you are signed in, your account. We use this to count downloads, apply daily download limits, prevent abuse and see which templates are popular. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Account
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, e-mail address and profile picture from Google. We use them to run your account, apply your plan and contact you about it. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
While Prezentr Slides is opened to people gradually, we note when your account got access and the country of your connection at that moment (from our network provider), so your access stays the same later. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a controlled launch (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Purchases
When you buy Prezentr Pass or credits, we store the order (amount, currency, date, status, any promo code) and the details you enter at checkout, such as your name, e-mail, country and phone number, and, if you buy as a company, its name, address and VAT or tax ID, which we keep for your next purchase. Card payments are processed by Monri Payments (Payten); we receive only a masked card number and the approval code, never your full card details. For a Pass we also store its start and end dates, so we can apply it and remind you in the app and by e-mail before it ends. Legal basis: contract, and our legal obligations under accounting and tax law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
Prezentr Slides: your presentations
When you use Prezentr Slides we store what you create so you can come back to it:
- your presentations: slide content, speaker notes, titles, the template you chose, theme and layout choices, animations and version history needed to save your work;
- your brief: what the presentation is about, the audience, goals and other answers on the start page. If you attach a text file or PDF, we extract its text and store that text with the presentation. The file itself is not kept;
- brand details you connect from Brenkit, such as colours, fonts and logo;
- files you upload, such as pictures, logos, video and audio. They are stored with our file storage provider and shown only to people who can open the presentation;
- your conversation with the AI Agent in the editor, so you can see what was asked and changed;
- comments, and the names and e-mail addresses of people you invite to view, comment on or edit a presentation;
- usage records: when you run an AI action, which effort level, how many credits it cost and whether it finished. We use these to charge credits correctly, show your usage in your account, and find and fix problems;
- small product settings, such as whether you finished or skipped the welcome tour.
Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
AI processing
To create and edit slides with AI, we send the content needed for your request to an AI model provider: your brief and any attachment text, the slides involved, your message to the AI Agent and earlier messages in that conversation. The provider processes this only to return a result to us, under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use our API data to train its models. AI results can be wrong; please check what the AI writes before you present it.
Manual editing does not send anything to the AI provider.
Access by our staff
Your presentations are private to you and the people you share them with. Authorised Prezentr staff may open a presentation in read-only form when it is needed for support you asked for, to check the quality of AI results, or to investigate abuse, safety or legal issues. Staff cannot edit or delete your presentations from this view. Every such access is logged with the staff member, the presentation and the time.
Newsletter
If you tick the box when you create your account, or turn it on in your profile, we store that you agreed to receive occasional e-mails about new templates and features, when you agreed and where (for example, the sign-up page or your profile). The box is never ticked for you. You can unsubscribe at any time in your profile or from any newsletter e-mail. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Live polls
Presenters can add live polls to a slide. People in the audience vote on a page at prezentr.com/join without an account. To allow one vote per device we give the device a random token, kept in a cookie (pz_voter) and in your browser's storage. We store the vote and that token with the poll, not your name or e-mail. We use your IP address briefly to limit abuse, and we do not store it with the vote. The presentation's owner and the people they share it with can see the poll results, not who voted.
Client player links
A presentation owner can share a player link (prezentr.com/p/...) that anyone with the link can open without an account. To show the owner how the presentation was viewed, we give each visitor's browser a random identifier in a cookie (pz_pv) and record when a view started and how long each slide was on screen. This identifier does not contain your name, e-mail or IP address, and the owner sees only anonymous view counts and times. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, and the owner's, in knowing whether a shared presentation was seen (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Messages
If you e-mail us or use a contact or report form, we use what you send to answer you.
3. Advertising and analytics
Prezentr is free because of advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads, Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Google Ads tag to measure our own campaigns. These Google services may use cookies and similar technologies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalised advertising is used; you can change your choice at any time through that message. You can also opt out of personalised ads in your Google ad settingsand of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on. Prezentr Pass members do not see ads while signed in.
In Prezentr Slides, a free account sees a short ad before an editable PowerPoint download starts. It is shown through Google AdSense under the same consent rules. Your slides are not sent to Google.
No ads, analytics or other tracking scripts are loaded on presentation player links (prezentr.com/p/...) or on live poll pages (prezentr.com/join).
We check in your browser whether an ad blocker is active so we can show a short notice. This check runs only on your device and sends nothing to us.
4. Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in session (only when signed in): keeps you logged in. Necessary.
- pz_seg and pz_slides_b: a random number from 0 to 99 that decides whether you see features we are rolling out gradually, such as Prezentr Slides. Kept for one year. Contains nothing about you.
- pz_voter: a random token so a device votes only once in a live poll. Kept for one year. Set only when you open a poll link.
- pz_pv: a random visitor identifier for presentation player links, used for anonymous view statistics. Kept for one year. Set only when you open a player link.
- pz_newsletter: remembers for up to 15 minutes, while you sign in with Google, that you ticked the newsletter box. Set only if you tick it.
- Small browser storage entries: remember choices such as a dismissed notice, editor preferences such as panel and sidebar state, and whether you finished the welcome tour.
- Google advertising and analytics cookies: see section 3; set according to your consent where consent is required.
You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though you may need to sign in again.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with providers that help us run Prezentr, under agreements that protect it:
- Google (sign-in, advertising, analytics);
- Monri Payments / Payten (card payments);
- an AI model provider (to create and edit slides when you use AI features; see section 2);
- our hosting, database and file storage providers (including Railway and Cloudflare).
Some of these providers process data outside Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Purchase records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
- Download records: up to 24 months, then deleted or fully anonymised.
- Presentations, uploads, briefs and AI conversations: until you delete the presentation or your account. When you delete a presentation, its sharing, comments, player link and view statistics, live polls and votes, and the files uploaded to it are deleted too. Files that a copy of the presentation still uses stay with that copy.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
- AI usage and credit records: as long as your account exists, and longer where accounting law requires it for purchases.
- Staff access log: 24 months. It is kept for this period even when the presentation is deleted, as a record of who accessed it.
- Live poll votes: with the presentation, until it is deleted.
- Player link view statistics: 12 months, after which only total counts are kept, or until the presentation is deleted.
- Newsletter consent: while you are subscribed; after you unsubscribe we keep the date of consent and of unsubscribing for 3 years as proof.
- Welcome tour status: as long as your account exists.
- E-mails with us: as long as needed to handle your request.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, including your account;
- restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
You can download your presentations at any time (PowerPoint or PDF) and ask us for a copy of the other data we hold about your use of Prezentr Slides.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka u BiH) or, if you live in the European Union, with the data protection authority in your country.
8. Children
Accounts are for people aged 16 and over, or younger with a parent's or guardian's consent.
